Electronic waste or e-waste is an emerging waste management problem we are facing as a local community. These electronic products comprise a multitude of components with valuable materials, some containing toxic substances, that can have an adverse impact on human health and the environment.
To protect our local environment, Goodwill of Silicon Valley has become a state-certified e-waste collector, and we safely recycle millions of pounds of electronic waste annually. All of the e-waste we collect goes to a state-certified electronic waste recycling facility that is required to meet the highest of standards in the disassembly and recycling of e-waste materials. Plus, our electornic Waste recycling operation creates employment and training opportunities for people facing barriers to employment.
We accept all types of electronic donations (working and non-working) including printers, microwaves, vacuums, TVs, stereos, computers, tablets, cellular phones, DVD players, video game systems, kitchen appliances (toasters, etc), and bath appliances (curling irons, etc).
