Do you have extra mattresses or box springs at your home?
Don’t throw them away, Goodwill of Silicon Valley offers mattress recycling!
Goodwill of Silicon Valley accepts all mattresses for free at our headquarters, located at in downtown San Jose. While mattresses are not commonly recycled, Goodwill’s mattress recycling program recycles over 90% of mattress materials.
Goodwill’s mattress program creates jobs for veterans struggling with homelessness, unemployment, and substance abuse. Goodwill started this program in association with the City of San Jose and US Department of Labor, to provide jobs for people who might struggle finding employment elsewhere. In 2015, Goodwill of Silicon Valley became a state certified recycling facility.
