Trish Dorsey has been a steadfast leader at Goodwill of Silicon Valley since 1996, bringing nearly
three decades of experience across retail, human resources, operations, fundraising, and
workforce development. She served as Vice President of Retail and later as Vice President of
Mission Services for 22 years, where she transformed Goodwill’s reach from supporting fewer
than 200 individuals annually to serving more than 14,000 people each year. Under her
leadership, external funding expanded from $300,000 to more than $8 million, enabling the
launch and growth of innovative programs that empower justice-involved individuals, veterans,
youth, and underserved communities to rebuild their lives through work, training, and
wraparound support.
Today, as Vice President of Community Engagement, Trish leverages a holistic, equity-centered
approach to building systems that advance economic mobility and strengthen community
partnerships. She forges high-level collaborations with funders, policymakers, and regional
leaders to elevate Goodwill’s role as a driving force for economic equity across Silicon Valley.
Her work centers on amplifying community voices, strengthening cross-sector alliances, and
ensuring that those often overlooked are represented in the rooms where decisions are made.
