How to Recycle Electronics with Goodwill of Silicon Valley

1. Easy Local Drop-Off

  • Computers and laptops
  • Mobile phones and tablets
  • TVs and monitors
  • Printers and small electronics

Simply drop off your items, and our trained team will handle the rest safely and responsibly.

2. Refurbish, Reuse, and Resell

Many donated electronics still work, or can be repaired. When possible, we refurbish devices and make them available for resale at affordable prices, helping extend their lifespan and increase access to technology in our community.

Reuse is always our first choice.

3. Certified E-Waste Recycling

When electronics can’t be reused, we partner with certified, responsible e-waste recyclers who meet strict environmental and safety standards.

Hazardous materials such as lead, mercury, and cadmium are handled properly, never sent to landfills, helping protect the environment and public health.

4. Secure Data Destruction

Your privacy matters. All donated electronics undergo secure data wiping before resale or recycling. When required, we work with certified data destruction partners to ensure personal information is permanently removed.
