Richard Ángel Vega serves as Director of Communications and Marketing at Goodwill of Silicon Valley, where he leads the organization’s communications, brand strategy, marketing, public relations, and stakeholder engagement efforts. In this newly established role, he is responsible for advancing a unified approach to raising awareness, strengthening reputation, deepening community and employer partnerships, and supporting the organization’s mission to transform lives through workforce development and social enterprise.
A strategic communications and marketing leader, Richard brings a systems-oriented approach to organizational growth, integrating brand stewardship, storytelling, digital engagement, data-informed decision-making, and audience development. His work focuses on elevating Goodwill’s visibility and influence while aligning communications and marketing strategies with organizational priorities, business objectives, and long-term community impact.
Prior to joining Goodwill of Silicon Valley, Richard served as Chief Marketing Officer for American Leadership Forum Silicon Valley and held senior leadership positions at United Way Bay Area and United Way Silicon Valley. Throughout his career, he has led high-impact communications, fundraising, public engagement, and partnership strategies that have strengthened organizations, expanded community reach, and advanced mission-driven outcomes across the Bay Area.
