Customer Relations and Employability Skills Training
The CREST program provides students with a diverse skill set that can be applied to a broad range of jobs. Customer etiquette, team building, business culture, and assertiveness training are paired with computer skills, ensuring that all graduates are well prepared for a wide variety of careers.
Prerequisites
In order to benefit from the CREST course, students must possess a minimum sixth-grade skill level in reading comprehension and mathematics. Students must also be 18 years of age upon the completion of the program.
Course Description
The CREST program provides students with practical computer skills, customer relations training, effective ways of communicating, conflict resolution abilities, and the expected norms of the business world. Graduates acquire a sense of professionalism that is the cornerstone of a good employee.
CREST empowers students with the ability and knowledge for a successful career in a variety of capacities. Our instructors incorporate their years of professional experience into lectures and presentations, while classroom discussions provide peer support and team-building exercises.
Course Objectives
Upon completion of the CREST course, students will receive a basic introduction to computers and be able to:
* Exhibit confidence and assertiveness to push through obstacles and reach their goals
* Apply key employability skills, such as, how to conduct themselves professionally, resolve conflicts, and be both a leader and team player
* Deal with customers, both in person and over the phone, by properly greeting and addressing problems/concerns
* Create and edit documents, business letters, resumes, memorandums, and manage files
* Create worksheets/spreadsheets with basic formulas and functions
